Madison County is an outdoor person’s dream encompassing 30,000 acres of the Shenandoah National Park, as well as Hoover Ridge Park and other venues with plenty of room to wander. Hawksbills Mountain, the highest point in the park, and Old Rag Mountain, are some of the most popular tourist destinations in the Shenandoah National Park.
