Located in the southeastern part of Central Virginia, Fluvanna sits near the halfway mark between Charlottesville and Richmond. Lake Monticello

Lake Monticello is one of Central Virginia’s largest gated communities offering a 350 acre lake and marina, a PGA Championship golf course, pools, playgrounds, trails, and much more! With over 4,000 homes, the community attracts locals and homeowners looking to live just outside the busyness of Charlottesville.

Weekends

Pleasant Grove House Museum and Welcome Center is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The plantation’s 800-acre park offers the Heritage Trail to the Rivanna River, public ball fields, and a Pole Barn available to rent for picnics and special events. Fluvanna is also home to Camp Friendship where children can ride horses, go mountain boarding, learn archery, and more. Enjoy a sip or two at Cunningham Creek Winery or Hardwood Hills Vineyard!

Outdoors

Boasting three rivers and two lakes, Fluvanna County offers many water activities. The Scheier Natural Area has several hiking trails on 100 acres. Join the competition at the Cal Tri Lake Monticello Half Marathon or Virginia State MTB Marathon Championship.
